Empower Business Strategies has announced that Alesha Anderson is joining the organization as a new consultant for its Philanthropy Services division. In this role, Alesha will provide professional fundraising assistance to clients in capital campaign planning and execution, annual and major gift fundraising, grant proposal development, and board and staff philanthropy training. 

Alesha Anderson is a nonprofit leader with nearly two decades of experience designing and scaling community-driven initiatives across 35+ countries. Bilingual in Spanish and English, and with lived experience in both Africa and Latin America, she brings deep cultural fluency and a commitment to inclusive, locally led solutions.

Most recently serving as Sr. Principal Partnership Officer for International Programs at ProLiteracy, Alesha forged high-impact corporate partnerships with global brands such as Lancôme, Western Union, KFC/Yum! and Citibank. Throughout her career, she has helped raise capital for programs focused on education, health, civic engagement, human rights, and gender-empowerment programs all over the world. She has worked with government leaders as well as local nonprofits, managing multicultural teams, and driving innovative approaches that empowered vulnerable populations worldwide.

Alesha’s career is defined by her ability to bridge sectors—connecting nonprofits, corporations, individual donors, and grassroots organizations to achieve lasting impact.

She holds a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Denver and is pursuing her M.Ed. in International Education at the University of Massachusetts.
